Consultant in Testing and Validation

FILODOXIA IT is recruiting a Software Tester and Validator.
The position of Test and Validation Consultant is designed to ensure the quality of products, software or systems before they are put into production or deployed. A test and validation consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products or systems, thereby contributing to customer satisfaction and reducing the costs associated with errors and revisions. This role requires solid expertise in testing and validation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other teams to improve the quality of products and services.

Profile Required:

• Degree from an engineering school or university.
• Previous experience in software testing and validation.
• Understanding of testing methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages and test automation tools (an asset).
• Attention to detail and rigour in the execution of tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Missions and Tasks:

• Test Scenario Design: Working with the development team to design comprehensive test scenarios, taking into account software specifications and customer requirements.
• Test Execution: Performing manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, performance, security and usability of the software.
• Identifying and reporting bugs: Identifying, documenting and reporting defects and problems encountered during testing.
• Working closely with the developers to resolve problems.
• Validation of corrections: Checking that the corrections made to the problems reported have been effective by re-executing the tests concerned.
• Test Automation: Developing automated test scripts to speed up the testing process and improve test coverage.
• Documentation: Maintaining full documentation of test procedures, results and bug reports.
• Team collaboration: Working closely with developers, project managers and other team members to ensure effective communication and rapid problem resolution.
• Creating the RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix).
• Managing and following up tickets relating to anomalies or changes.
• Assisting customers throughout the acceptance (UAT), pre-production and production cycles.
• Assistance in the preparation of test reports and their execution with the use of QA equipment.
• Configuration of management tools such as “Redmine” in order to follow the established quality process, etc.
• Providing technical assistance/support to users on the relevant platforms.
